Curtis Miner Architecture was hired by Altabank to design a replacement branch building and prototype design. The original building was dated and inadequate traffic circulation caused safety concerns. The new 5,530 single-story building focuses on providing a fresh, appealing look within a safer environment. The new branch is positioned at an angle on the site, which provides four main benefits: it improves community access, allows for safe vehicle movement and exiting, provides strong street corner presence, and improves the sight lines for both pedestrians and drivers.
The clerestory windows allow abundant natural light into the building, greatly improving the interior lighting. Accents in Altabank’s branded blue provide a complementary pop against the warm wood ceiling panels and furnishings and the cool tones of the carpet and walls.
