Jamestown Assisted Living Expansion

Jamestown’s senior housing and assisted living environment provides full-service senior living with resort-style amenities. The three-level expansion added 30 more units and a wide array of interior and exterior amenities for residents to invigorate their lives and stay engaged with nature. Indoor amenities include a state-of-the-art fitness center, an on-site game room with a theater, and expanded large group and private dining venues. A much-needed kitchen expansion increases capacity, flow, and function. Enhanced site amenities include new spacious outdoor seating, a putting green, fire pit, and fishing pond.

The mountain views and natural beauty of the area were focal points for building programming and landscaping design. The expansion takes ques from the original building and interior finishes incorporate natural colors throughout the facility.

Keeping at-risk residents safe during a global pandemic was a high priority for the project team. When the kitchen remodel was scheduled, healthy boxed meals were prepared in a temporary trailer and heated tent. Innovative design and construction methods were incorporated to counter work force and building supply shortages. For example, concrete sourcing delays were overcome by erecting the structural system ahead of schedule.
