To offer clients the ability to construct projects outside Utah, Curtis Miner is certified by the National Council of Architectural Registration Boards. NCARB certification allows prompt architectural licensing in most states and many foreign countries through establishing objective standards of professional competency. This eliminates a client’s need to retain different licensed architects when designing work in multiple states or some countries. Our office holds current architectural licenses in Utah, Idaho, Colorado, Arizona, Nevada, Texas, and Wyoming.
The Curtis Miner Architecture team has extensive experience master planning property ranging from large developments to individual project sites. We see this as a critical first step to a successful building project. Our understanding of entitlement process, land-use principles, and construction process allows us to create development opportunities where others see challenges.
Great building design begins with a clear understanding of the detailed needs of the client. Curtis Miner Architecture works with various client user groups and other stakeholders to identify key design principles and objectives, develop accurate space and adjacency requirements and document critical technical and operations standards for each individual space. These findings provide a critical self-evaluation for the client and a solid beginning point for the balance of the design process.
At Curtis Miner Architecture we understand that most of the perception a user has with a building is based on the quality of its interior environment. We are careful and deliberate in the selection of finishes, materials, and details that reinforce the design objectives of the space. We focus on creating interior spaces that are environmentally comfortable, acoustically correct, and spatially appropriate.
Elegant, functional, budget-focused design is our main objective and our specialty at Curtis Miner Architecture. We strive to create design solutions that incorporate the best thinking of our project teams and our clients. We study design of all types and love to find innovative yet appropriate solutions that help our clients prosper.
Curtis Miner Architecture is a leader in the use of Building Information Modeling, 3D modeling, artistic renderings, project snimations, and virtual reality. These technologies allow our clients to visualize and understand buildings and spaces long before they are actually constructed which allows them to make important decisions based on a clear spatial understanding. These visualizations can also be useful in marketing and entitlement efforts.
In the complex and challenging approval environment of today, the Curtis Miner Architecture team has not only developed a specialty in understanding the various building and accessibility codes individually, but also how they interact, overlap, and sometimes contradict each other. Through the application of this knowledge we protect our clients from unnecessary liability, minimize project costs, and represent the best interests of clients during the permitting and construction processes.
At Curtis Miner Architecture we design with sustainability in mind. We design high performing and energy efficient buildings that not only reduce the operation costs for our clients, but are also environmentally responsible assets to the community due to their low carbon footprint. We employ a number of sustainable strategies including tight building envelopes, natural daylighting, and high efficiency mechanical, plumbing and lighting systems.
